This is just a short update on our bonsai project. We now have three seedlings from the Jacaranda Mimosifolia family. I was surprised to see the third sprout the other day. I was certain that we were only going to get two seedlings. It's definitely great though that we now have three. If all of them survive we'll have one tree for myself and one for each kid. It will be fun to try and grow and train three of the same variety and see how we each sculpt them differently.
There is still nothing in any of the other pots. We're well past the four week mark now so I'm sure that the initial planting was a failure. I'm not sure if we'll make another attempt at replanting each of the other tree varieties. If we do want to do that we'll definitely give the current planting a few more weeks to see if we get any sprouts. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
For now our focus is going to shift to caring for the seedlings that we do have and ensuring that they're healthy and thriving.
