I'm not a religious person but I do follow traditional holidays here in North America. So, to everyone who is enjoying the holiday and to those who are devout Christians and for whom Easter has a much deeper meaning: Happy Easter 2021!
Okay... So, this is a picture of a Christmas cactus (Schlumbergera) but this particular plant seems to bloom twice a year: once at Christmastime and then again at Easter. It's kind of a Christmas / Easter cactus.
I raised this from an old clipping that I've had from around 1982. It is root bound yet still growing like crazy. I use a liquid-based fertilizer and water it weekly.
This year it has been an absolutely prodigious bloomer. I'm not sure why. I guess it's just happy with the amount of light, water, and fertilizer that it's getting.
So, once again Happy Easter to everyone from me and my plant!
