le Macaron: Best Crêpes in Regina

After working hard in the garden and the yard this morning, it was time to go out and get something tasty.  A couple of years ago I took a French language course at the University of Regina in preparation for a trip I was taking to Québec.  For a course exercise, the instructor took us to le Macaron for breakfast.  I had the most incredible apple cinnamon crêpes that I had ever tasted.  This is what I decided to have today - and they are still really, really good!

The apples.  The cinnamon.  The vanilla-infused whipped cream on the side.  The caramel dribble.  To die for.

On le Macaron's website, there is a tagline: "Bringing the sweet taste of Paris to the prairies."  Indeed.

There was more than one reason that our French instructor took us to le Macaron.  Sure, the food is great.  But, it is also a little slice of French culture in Regina.  I was reminded of this today as I sat eating my crêpes and the sounds of the French language wafted over me.  I wish that I could report that I understood what was being said.  But, alas, I wasn't the greatest student of the language.

This place is highly recommended.  C'est merveilleux!
