We made the arduous trip back to Regina on Friday. Twenty-four hours of airplanes and airports and we were back at home.
I
made the big mistake of reading the new in the morning though and
seeing the story about the American Airways plane that had to ditch in
the Hudson River in New York. This did not really get me in the best
mood for flying! Quite a miraculous story though. Regardless, I was on
edge during the two take offs and landings that we had to undertake!
Regina's
snow conditions did not disappoint either. We were greeted at the
airport by my parents and, unexpectedly, by my Uncle Art from Edmonton
(he was just on his way back to Edmonton). The snowbanks here are
amazing! Luckily the temperatures had already moderated a bit upon our
return - around -1C. For most of the time we were gone there were
nothing but blizzards and -30C temps in Regina. Perfect timing to be
away.
It is good to be home though - fully refreshed and ready to return to the grind - maybe...
